The Auction House can be addictive:

You should not use auction house as most of the power services don't use it either. So there is no need to spend money on the gear as it will be replaced later on, use the money to buy the mount items at level 60. As a strategy, try to save all of your money to buy the mount items at level 60. It is the highest level in the game where you will be spending most of your time.

Don't overlook money making tradeskills:

Try to learn same trade skills; you can use them to level faster, in addition to that you can easily earn some extra points with the help of skills.

Enchanting (disenchant)-Disenchanting is generally overlooked by WoW players who want to get rich quickly. Most of the players will sell their green or old rare items to vendors for very low price. They can get huge amounts, if they were to disenchant and sell the materials in the auction house.

Focus on an area:

Review your request before starting it. It will only take few minutes to find an optimized route to complete the quest. You'll find out that some quests can be completed at the same place whereas other quests in nearby places. Always complete all the quests in the given area and then turn back to the town, in this way you'll be able to save a lot of time. By using hearthing feature you can save a lot of time. Try not to frequently change area in order to find the best places for grinding as this will often end up in frustration and will be inefficient.
